Programme Highlights

  • Guided walking tour of FORTE DI BARD (Bard Fortress), one of the best examples of an early 1800 military stronghold, almost intact since its construction. Together with the medieval village of Bard, the entire fortified complex, has today become the main cultural centre of the Western Alps and houses several museums of historical, scientific, artistic and cultural interest, as well as temporary exhibitions.
  • Entry and free visit of one of the museums in the Forte di Bard,  you can choose from: The Museum of the Alps -The Ferdinando Museum – The Prisons of Fort Bard -The Children’ Alps Museum.
  • Entry and free visit of the temporary photo exhibition at Forte di Bard “WILDLIFE THE PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR 59th edition“, the most important award for nature photography presented by the Natural History Museum in London. You can admire the best images selected by an international jury of renowned experts and nature photographers. (Alternatively, you can visit a second of the museums mentioned above).

     

  • Guided visit of CASTELLO ISSOGNE – a step into Renaissance history in Valle d’Aosta.
  • Lunch at a local restaurant with typical Aosta Valley specialities.

Cost (ACE members):
Full (adults): 55 €
Reduced (under 26 years): 35 €
Including transport in bus, guided walking tours and visits in Italian and English (2 groups min 15 people each group necessary), entrance fees, lunch with typical local food (water, coffee, coperto included).
Departure parking in front of JRC Ispra 8:15 am, arrival back in Ispra: ca. 8 pm

L’Associazione Culturale Europea (ACE) è sorta nel 1962, con la denominazione di Comitato Culturale, per volontà della direzione dell’amministrazione del JRC di Ispra. L’Associazione da oltre sessant’anni svolge la sua attività di promozione della cultura in una declinazione a tutto tondo. Istituita per organizzare e gestire attività culturali del personale del Centro Comune di Ricerca (JRC), sito di Ispra, e quindi delle loro famiglie e dei pensionati, in una cornice europea, favorendo anche l’integrazione con il territorio, ha accompagnato la crescita e l’evoluzione del JRC

L'Associazione Culturale Europea (ACE) è registrata al Registro Unico Nazionale del Terzo Settore (RUNTS) dal 15 dicembre 2022
