L’associazione Culturale Europea (ACE) del Centro Comune di Ricerca (JRC) della Commissione Europea e’ un’associazione che promuove delle attività di carattere socio-culturale per il personale del JRC e le loro famiglie che provengono dagli stati membri dell’Unione Europea.
Lo scopo è di diffondere la cultura dei paesi europei e di favorire la comunicazione culturale tra il personale del JRC e gli abitanti della provincia di Varese e della regione Lombardia

L’associazione Culturale Europea offre quanto segue:

  • Accesso gratuito ai servizi interni della biblioteca, con l’uso privato di libri in varie lingue europee
  • Accesso gratuito ai servizi interni della mediateca, con l’uso privato di CD (musica), dischi in vinile e DVD (film) in varie lingue
  • Partecipazione agli eventi culturali esterni (teatro, opera, concerto, mostre, gite e viaggi) a pagamento (costi dei biglietti degli spettacoli, del soggiorno/pernottamento e del trasporto)
  • Partecipazione gratuita e informazione sulle mostre di arti visive (pittura, scultura, moda, …) organizzate nella provincia e regione
  • Partecipazione gratuita e informazione sulle conferenze organizzate dal Comitato Culturale presso il Club House o in altri luoghi della provincia
  • Partecipazione gratuita e informazione sui concerti organizzati dal Comitato Culturale presso il Club House o in altri luoghi suggestivi

The European Cultural Association of the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission is an association that promotes socio-cultural activities for staff of the JRC and their families. The aim is to spread the culture of European countries and to promote cultural communication between JRC staff and the residents of the province of Varese and the region of Lombardy.

Membership
By subscribing to the ACE of the JRC Ispra, any officer or agent of the JRC and their family may benefit from the cultural activities provided to members. Please register at the secretariat or at the library (external access from 1st floor of main entrance building, TP 014) for an annual fee of €30.

Services

Each member of the ACE has:

  • Free access to the library services, including loans of books in various European languages.

  • Free access to the media centre services, including loans of CDs (music), vinyl records and DVDs (movies) in various languages.

  • Participation in external cultural events (theatre, opera, concerts, exhibitions, tours and travel) for a fee (to cover the cost of tickets, stay/accommodation and transport).

  • Free participation in and information on the visual arts exhibitions
