Join us for a trip to Copenhagen and surroundings to discover Denmark’s rich history and culture!
PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS (all tours in English):
Explore the city’s main sights, such as Nyhavn, the Royal Palace and Strøget shopping street, with a knowledgeable guide on a Copenhagen City Walking Tour. It’s a great way to gain an overview of the city and its history and culture.
See the city from the water with a Canal Tour of Copenhagen! This guided boat tour takes you through the picturesque canals and past landmarks such as the Opera House and the Little Mermaid statue.
Enjoy the activities programmed for the last summer weekend at the world-famous Tivoli Gardens.
Visit the Rosenborg Palace, one of the world’s best-preserved Renaissance castles, with its magnificent rooms, impressive Danish crown jewels, and other treasures.
Join us on a Grand Royal Tour to North Zealand, visiting the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Kronborg Castle (the setting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet) and Frederiksborg Palace (the largest Renaissance-era castle in Scandinavia). After touring the fortresses, we will head to the stunning Roskilde Cathedral (also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and finish the tour at the Viking Ship Museum, where you can learn how the Vikings constructed their ships.
Enjoy delicious Danish cuisine, from traditional smørrebrød to innovative new restaurants and street food markets.
COST
(ACE members): €780 (per person with accommodation in double room)
Down payment € 250 no later than 4/8/2025,
Balance payment € 530 no later than 30/8/2025.
Supplement for a single room €280.
Included:
Accommodation at a 4-star rated Hotel for 4 nights in a double room, breakfast included.
All guided tours and entrance fees as described in the programme including 1 day bus trip.
Not included:
Flights from Milan Malpensa Airport to Copenhagen Airport and return. Please book your flights on your own. After your registration for the journey, you will receive recommended flight details.
Public transportation is not included in the price.
We recommend using either the REJSEKORT Card (https://www.rejsekort.dk/?sc_lang=en) or the CITY PASS (https://www.dsb.dk/en/ tickets-and-services/Citypass/ ).
You can get either of them as an app from the App Store or Google Play.Drinks and meals (except breakfast) are not included in the price.

All guided tours and visits are in English.
A maximum of 20 participants are admitted. If the number of participants is less than 10, the programme can be subject to variation.
For large groups, a prepayment or downpayment may be required to guarantee restaurant reservations. Should this be the case, we reserve the right to add these costs to the final payment of the trip.

Please book your own flight! After your registration you will receive recommended flight details.
Balance payment €530 + supplement single room €280 (if selected)no later than 30/08/2025.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
It is the responsibility of the participants to inform themselves about the current travel regulations of the country Denmark and to ensure that the travel documents (passport) are valid and suitable for entry (especially for non-EU residents).
You should be able to comfortably participate in up to three to six hours of physical activity per day. On most days this would include walking at a good pace and sometimes on uneven terrain and cobblestone, climbing stairs and standing in galleries, palaces and museums.

Istituita per organizzare e gestire attività culturali del personale del Centro Comune di Ricerca (JRC), sito di Ispra, e quindi delle loro famiglie e dei pensionati, in una cornice europea, favorendo anche l’integrazione con il territorio, ha accompagnato la crescita e l’evoluzione del JRC
