Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet

Over the course of her multifaceted career spanning four decades, Grammy and Tony Award- winning jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater has reached the highest musical heights, giving us her unique interpretation of standards, but also taking intrepid leaps of faith by revisiting jazz classics.

Bridgewater’s career has always built bridges between different musical genres. She gained her first professional experience as a member of the legendary Thad Jones/Mel Louis Big Band, and through the 1970s performed with jazz greats such as Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon and Dizzy Gillespie.

After a foray into the world of pop during the 1980s, she moved to Paris and began to turn her attention back to jazz. After signing with Universal Music Group as a producer, she released a string of hit titles starting with Keeping Tradition in 1993. Almost all of them, including the highly acclaimed ‘Dear Ella’, which won two, were nominated for Grammy awards.
