Sabato 18 Ottobre 2025 – AOSTA: The Culture, Mountains and Wine Experience

Join us on a journey to the city of AOSTA, known as the ‘Rome of the Alps’, due to its extensive and well-preserved Roman ruins and discover its rich cultural heritage. Explore traces of the Savoy Dynasty in the Aosta Valley and taste the wine of the mountains.

Highlights

  • Guided walking tour of the CITY of AOSTA, to discover its rich Roman and medieval history set against the backdrop of spectacular alpine scenery.
    The guided tour includes visits to the Criptoportico, the Foro Romano and the suggestive Chiostro di Sant’Orso.
  • Guided tour of the CASTELLO REALE di SARRE – the hunting lodge and holiday home of the Savoy royal family, with breathtaking views of the Gran Paradiso National Park.
  • WINE EXPERIENCE at a renowned Aosta Valley winery, where we will learn about the winemaking process and enjoy a wine tasting of five wines accompanied by local delicacies.

  • 10:30 Guided City Walking Tour of AOSTA
  • 12:30 – 14:30 Free time for individual lunch in Aosta
  • 14:45 Guided tour of CASTELLO REALE SARRE
  • 16:00 WINE EXPERIENCE
  • 18:30 Departure Valle d’Aosta
  • 21:00 ca. Arrival JRC Ispra

 

 

Cost (ACE members):

Full (adults): 60 €
Reduced (under18 years, without wine tasting): 35 €
Including transport in bus, guided tours in English and Italian (2 groups, minimum 15 people each group required), entrance fees (to Criptoportico, Foro Romano and Chiostro di Sant’Orso at Aosta, as well as to Castello Reale di Sarre), wine tasting (5 wines) with local food.

L’Associazione Culturale Europea (ACE) APS è sorta nel 1962, con la denominazione di Comitato Culturale, per volontà della direzione dell’amministrazione del JRC di Ispra. L’Associazione da oltre sessant’anni svolge la sua attività di promozione della cultura in una declinazione a tutto tondo. Istituita per organizzare e gestire attività culturali del personale del Centro Comune di Ricerca (JRC), sito di Ispra, e quindi delle loro famiglie e dei pensionati, in una cornice europea, favorendo anche l’integrazione con il territorio, ha accompagnato la crescita e l’evoluzione del JRC

L'Associazione Culturale Europea (ACE) è registrata al Registro Unico Nazionale del Terzo Settore (RUNTS) dal 15 dicembre 2022
